Cut, ink, layer, repeat. Ready to elevate your printmaking? Join Sally-Ann and learn the mesmerising art of multi-coloured linocut printing. Using just one block, you'll plan precise cuts and layer coloured inks to watch your unique vision come to life.

Sally-Ann will lead you step by step through the linocut printing process, learning how to use carving tools, then carving and printing a two-colour linocut. You'll also learn to use the printing press, and how to print by hand using a simple spoon or jam jar. She'll send you home feeling confident enough to continue printing with lino in your own home.

Workshop Highlights...

Step-by-Step Guidance: Sally-Ann personally guides you through design selection, block carving, and layering colours, offering personalised attention and expert tips.

Quality Materials: Provided lino blocks, carving tools, and vibrant, professional-grade inks ensure lasting artwork. If you do have your own carving tools, you are welcome to bring them along.

Inspirational Environment: Immerse yourself in a creative, supportive atmosphere surrounded by like-minded artists.

Limited Class Size: Intimate class of 12 enables personalised learning.

Sally-Ann Davies is a UK-born Fine Art Printmaker specialising in woodblock printing, incorporating diverse techniques like monoprinting, drypoint, and collagraphs. With a B.A. (Hons) in Fine Art from Liverpool John Moores University, she found her calling during an Artist in Residence program at an inner-city high school, inspiring her to pursue a Postgraduate Certificate in Education. After two decades of teaching, Sally-Ann now resides on Lake Taupo's scenic shores, devoting herself full-time to her art. Following a 2017 residency in Tuscany, she established her full-time printmaking practice in 2021. Inspired by the New Zealand landscape, her work combines woodcut, monoprinting, and collagraph techniques. She exhibits both in New Zealand and abroad while sharing her passion for printmaking through her workshops.
