π Location: SF70 (Rangitaiki Conservation Area), TaupΕ Region
π Convoy Limit: 10 vehicles ONLY
ποΈ ABOUT THE ADVENTURE
SF70, often referred to as State Forest 70, is one of the North Islandβs most iconic and challenging 4WD destinations. Located south of SH5 near TaupΕ, this area is known for its tight tracks, deep ruts, soft pumice soil, steep climbs, and technical driving.
This is not a casual Sunday drive β this is a proper off-road adventure designed for capable vehicles, experienced drivers, and those who understand the risks that come with extreme terrain.
Because of the difficulty, narrow sections, and limited turning points, convoy numbers are strictly capped to keep things safe, smooth, and enjoyable for everyone involved.
β οΈ IMPORTANT β READ CAREFULLY
Waiver signing is mandatory for all drivers and passengers
This track CAN and DOES cause vehicle and panel damage
By attending, you acknowledge and accept the risks involved
Access is sensitive β respect the land, no rubbish, no damage to frost flats
Instructions from trip leaders must be followed at all times
β
