A community of compassion can change the world.Have you ever stopped to think about how far a single act of kindness can travel?A listening ear. A helping hand. A kind word when it's needed most. Sometimes the smallest gestures leave the deepest impressions, touching lives in ways we may never fully realise. In a world that can often feel rushed, divided and uncertain, compassion has an extraordinary power to bring us together. On Sunday 25 October, we'd love you to join us at The Sangha House in Taunton for a very special afternoon celebrating that power. An Afternoon of Compassion, Connection and CommunityThe Ripple Effect: A Celebration of Compassion is a gentle, uplifting and nourishing gathering exploring how compassion begins within each of us and naturally ripples outwards into our families, friendships, workplaces, communities and ultimately the wider world.Through inspiring stories, contemplative experiences and meaningful conversations, we'll explore what compassion really means — not simply as a beautiful idea, but as something we can feel, experience and practise in everyday life. What Will We Experience?Throughout the afternoon, we'll enjoy:The Ripple Effect — An Inspiring Talk: Discover how seemingly small acts of compassion can transform lives, relationships and communities, and why compassion is one of the most important qualities we can cultivate.A Beautiful Compassion Sound Bath: Relax into a deeply restorative sound experience, exploring our connection with ourselves, one another and the wider world.Guided Compassion Meditation: A gentle, accessible meditation cultivating compassion for ourselves, those close to us, people we find challenging and the world we share.Reflection and Community Connection: An opportunity to pause, share experiences, enjoy conversation and discover what gives us hope for a more compassionate future.Compassion in Action: Before we leave, we'll explore how each of us can create our own ripple through one simple act of compassion in the coming weeks. There will also be time for refreshments, friendly conversation and simply enjoying one another's company.Part of a Global CelebrationOn Saturday 24 October, people around the world will come together for the Charter for Compassion Global Gala 2026, celebrating this year's theme:The Great Turning: Honouring Our Legacy. Inspiring the Future. Our gathering in Taunton takes place the following day, bringing the spirit of this global celebration into our own local community. The Charter for Compassion is an international movement encouraging people everywhere to place compassion at the heart of how we live, work and relate to one another. The Ripple Effect is our opportunity to celebrate that vision and explore how we can each contribute to a kinder, more connected world.Because a compassionate future isn't something we simply wait for. It's something we create together.Everyone Is WelcomeWhether you've been part of The Sangha House community for years, have only recently discovered us, or are simply curious about compassion, meditation and human connection, we'd be delighted to welcome you.No previous experience of meditation or sound baths is necessary. You don't need to follow any particular faith or spiritual tradition, and there's no expectation to speak or share anything personal.Just bring yourself, an open heart and a willingness to pause for a few hours in the company of good people.Event DetailsDate: Sunday 25 October 2026Time: 2.00pm – 5.00pmVenue: The Sangha House, Taunton, SomersetAdmission: FREEOptional donations are warmly welcomed, but never expected. We have just 27 places available, so advance booking is essential. We'd love you to bring a friend, neighbour or family member who might enjoy being part of this special afternoon.Come and Be Part of the RippleCompassion isn't something reserved for extraordinary people doing extraordinary things. It lives in the ordinary moments of our everyday lives. And when we begin to notice it, nurture it and share it, something rather wonderful happens. It spreads. We hope you'll join us and help create the next ripple. With warmth,Andy SpraggThe Sangha House & Compassionate UKIn support of the Charter for Compassion Global Gala 2026 - **Event URL**: https://allevents.in/taunton/the-ripple-effect/100002003261422842 - **Event Categories**: fitness, health-wellness - **Interested Audience**: - total_interested_count: 0 - **Event Highlights**: - Duration: 3 hours - Location: The Sangha House - Languages: English ## Ticket Details - **Ticket Price Range**: min: 0, max: 0, currency: GBP ## Event venue details - **city**: Taunton - **state**: EN - **country**: United Kingdom - **location**: The Sangha House - **lat**: 51.014113 - **long**: -3.1067239999999856 - **full address**: The Sangha House, First Floor, Mitre House, Taunton, United Kingdom ## Event gallery - **Alt text**: The Ripple Effect - **Image URL**: https://cdn-az.allevents.in/events10/banners/3fd9db2ce8f19ad8bcf3509fd05449c9d861636a2577fdfb465e5d9ee563f156-rimg-w1200-h600-dcf8e8c8-gmir.jpg?v=1791740774 ## FAQs - **Q**: When and where is The Ripple Effect being held?
