- **Event Description**: LEARN TO DANCE SALSA with our structured 6-week course, running EVERY TUESDAY night with classes at The Library (formerly Pitcher & Piano).

Join us from 24th FEBRUARY - 31st MARCH 2026 and learn to dance salsa in a fun and friendly environment.
Our course aims to take you through the basic steps, adding a combination of structured moves and techniques to give you confidence in your dancing.

The 6-week Course costs just £45 (under £8 per lesson). Booking in advance is advised.
We run small group classes and aim to balance the number of leaders and followers as much as we can.
We recommend booking in advance to secure your place.

Any remaining spaces will be made available in the week before the class for people wishing to pay-as-you-go (PAYG £9/week).

Levels:

Level 1: Fundamentals
- If you have never danced salsa before, or only had a taste of it, this is the best place to start.
- Cover the basic steps, learn key techniques, and understand how to dance in time to the music.

Level 2: Technique/Improver
- Learn to combine existing moves in new combinations.
- Develop more complicated steps and turns.
- Gain confidence in varied leading and following techniques.

Prices*:

6-week Course (6WC): £45
- Book in advance at shop.yosalsa.co.uk (OR if any spaces remain, Pay on Week 1 of the course start).
- Includes 1 Class each week (pick either Level 1 or 2)
(If you are bridging Level 1 & Level 2, book both classes as a 6-week Course for £60)

Pay-As-You-Go (PAYG): £9
- Book in advance the week before at shop.yosalsa.co.uk.
- Any remaining spaces will be available on the door each week.
- Includes 1 Class each week (either Level 1 or 2)

Additional Class: £3
- If you wish to do both classes on the same night, your second class is only £3 extra.

From the main entrance, head past the bar and through the double doors at the back.
From the Bath Place entrance, head into the main bar area, turn right and right again, through the double doors.

Drinks will be available from the main bar.

- Follow the footpath into Bath Place in the left-hand corner of the car park, go straight through the passageway, and turn left.
- This car park is free after 6pm.
- Please ensure you don't park in the Tesco car park, as the parking restrictions are different.

Instructor Bios:

Cedric stumbled across Salsa dancing whilst at university. Having attended workshops and congresses across the UK and beyond, he has learnt from many top teachers from around the world. Teaching a variety of Latin dances since 2011, he emphasises clear, precise learning and following technique, and mixes simple spins with more complex flicks and tricks to create an engaging array of moves that flow from one to the next. In developing a keen ear for Latin music, Cedric uses this to influence his dancing style, and enjoys DJing a range of traditional and modern music to get everyone up on the dancefloor!
