Join us for a perfect chilled summer night out with a live music event that celebrates some of the greatest jazz guitarists of all time, where you can expect high quality guitar playing celebrating the works of George Benson, Charlie Christian, Pat Metheny, Wes Montgomery, Barney Kessel & many more. There will be standards that you’ll recognise, some funk and with two amazing guitarist accompanied by some stunning bass.
About the Artists
Richard Llewelyn – Brought up in a music loving household, Richard began playing the guitar aged 7. Having worked in education he now spends his time making music as much as possible and plays with several bands including -Newton’s Toad, Sarah Griffiths , Milly Requelme and La Cubana.
Charlie Mason – Charlie worked as a session guitarist in the UK and overseas accompanying many Tv and recording stars. He was musical director for a leading Hotel Complex in South Africa. As a guitar teacher he has been a senior examiner for the London College of music and continues to perform with a range of bands in a variety of styles.
Ron Phelan – Bassist Ron has had a long and successful career in music , he played for The No Fit State Circus for many years and is highly sought after in the southwest, currently regularly playing in bands such as The Schmoozenbergs, Zeffe, and with Richard , Sarah Griffiths and Newton’s Toad , amongst many others.
