It is increasingly recognised that our health is a direct consequence of the quality of our external and internal environment. Chronic illness is very often the outcome of a lifetime of our bodies defending us from an environment that it perceives as threatening. The sources are manifold, including our physical surroundings, food quality, gut microbiome, and our unconsciously conditioned patterns based on deep-rooted beliefs about ourselves and the world around us.
This talk will review the impact of the environment on our health and ways in which we can make simple, beneficial changes. We will explore ways to shift the body’s emphasis from conditioned patterns of protection into an unconditioned state of relaxation and wellness. We will discuss a holistic approach to health, addressing (and celebrating!) all dimensions of being, from the physical to the subtle.

Dr Lucie Wilk is an NHS Consultant Rheumatologist, Craniosacral therapist and holistic practitioner with over 25 years of experience as a medical doctor. She applies a multidimensional approach to healing, including nutrition and gut health, movement and breath practice as well as the psychological, emotional and spiritual elements of wellbeing.
