⚽ We are Tartu JK Tammeka, the top football club in the town. We’ve never been nicknamed the Academics or the Students. But in our teams, staff, and community, we’ve had both. So you’ll fit in just fine!

Our men’s team represents Tartu in the Estonian top division, A. Le Coq Premium liiga.

This Sunday, August 31, we invite you to a very special home match: 🟦 Tartu JK Tammeka vs Harju JK Laagri. 🟥

WHAT'S UP

👉 First, we have exclusive activities for international students: stadium tours, games and a meeting with the head coach that we, as football aficionados, would love to experience ourselves when moving to a new place.

👉 Secondly, we, like our opposition, need to win this match; there’s a chance one of us could be relegated at the end of the season. So expect tactical masterminding, tensions, drama, cards, goals, and more. ⚔️

🏟️ 16.45 Programme start for the early birds. We meet behind the stadium building (Tamme pst 1, Tartu). Start of the 1st Stadium and Team’s Dressing Room Tour with Kalle Paas, a local fan turned club’s Communication and Marketing Manager. 💬 17.15 Programme start for the later birds. We meet behind the stadium building (Tamme pst 1, Tartu). Meet JK Tammeka supporters and your student mentors for this evening: writer Mika Keränen, originally from Finland, and PhD Researcher in Political Science Mike Cole from the UK.

🏆 17.30 Win a Prize! Learn about Estonia, Tartu, and JK Tammeka and show your knowledge and logic in a Kahoot game. The top 3 will be awarded prizes.

🤝 18.00 Meeting with Siim Valtna, the first team coach. He’ll give us a glimpse of what to expect from tonight’s match tactics-wise. Years ago, Siim himself studied abroad in Portugal as an Erasmus student. Did he take something from there into his views on football?
