This campground accesses many of the trails at the heart of the park. This campground is sponsored by SNAP and TETRA volunteers and fundraising. Come enjoy this camping and riding experience. Check in: Friday at 4:00PM. Saturday check-in begins at 7:00am. Copy of current Coggins required. Ride participants do not need to stop by the Park Ranger Station. TETRA staff will issue vehicle hangtags at check in at Chapa Camp. Arrive at 1:00PM March 27. Early arrivals are not permitted by the park. Departure is noon Sunday as required by the park. Contact the park if you want to camp early or leave late for camping arrangements. Ride Fee: TETRA Members $30. Non-Members $40. Children under 18 years old are no charge, must be accompanied by a registered, riding adult. 6-7:30 Friday, At the barn, share your favorite appetizer and meet your fellow campers. 7:30 AM-8:45AM Saturday and Sunday morning breakfast. Lunch on your own. 6:00PM Potluck Saturday, TETRA will provide meat, paper goods and utensils. Bring a chair. 9:00AM Saturday ride out, return to camp at 2:00 pm. 9:00 Sunday ride out, return to camp at 11, pack up and leave by noon. Please bring silent auction items for Saturday evening. This benefits State Natural Area Partners and TETRA. Electric hookups: $25 for the weekend. Horse pens are $10. There are 10 30-amp electric sites and 9 covered pens. Plenty of primitive parking around the campground. Site reservations can be made by emailing Monica Soto at mvalague@att.net no earlier than noon February 26. No txt messages. Reminder: TPWD prohibits the public consumption or display alcohol including outdoor areas. TETRA rules /trail etiquette must be observed on all TETRA sponsored trail rides. Horses prone to kick must have a red ribbon attached to their tails. Dogs must always stay on a leash no dogs on the trails. Practice noise discipline in camp, i.e. no loud music after 10PM Be ready to ride at the set "ride out" time. Alcohol is not allowed in state parks.
