Enjoy a day full of welcoming the longest day and shortest night, by gathering with friends at Oak Grove’s annual Solstice celebration. This year we are starting with a morning tea and coffee gathering at 9:30 am. Then following a Special 3-hour Solstice inspired Chakra Dance led by our very own Becca Hill. Chakra Dance starts at 10am sharp, so please be on time to join the fun! This Chakradance is a celebratory event that matches the energy of bringing in this new season. Chakradance is a free flowing, totally independent dance that is supported by music specially orchestrated to match the frequency of each individual chakra. Blindfolds are provided and encouraged to aid your inward focus. Additionally, you will have guided visualizations to assist with your journey. We will be dancing freely from our crown to our base. This will be followed by an integration dance and meditation. Every time we dance our chakras, we heal a little. We heal the next layer that has been laying unresolved, unprocessed, unexpressed. With each dance we change our vibrational frequency. We become lighter and clearer. As our frequency changes, we begin to attract in a new vibrational match. This can include new opportunities, experiences and/or people. Which is the perfect start to celebrating the summer season! Since Chakradance invites everyone to completely focus on their own journey, this event is not one that would be suitable for your children as their presence could be a distraction for you, the other dancers, and the facilitator. After we dance, will have a potluck feast available throughout the afternoon with seasonal goodies and refreshments. Followed by community drumming and rhythms from 2-4pm. At Oak Grove Retreat we believe in the transformative power of rhythm to enhance wellness and well-being for individuals and groups alike. Our interactive drumming events are designed to reduce stress, boost mood, and create a sense of connection and balance. Through the simple act of drumming, participants tap into the body’s natural rhythms, promoting relaxation, releasing tension, and fostering mindfulness. Inclusive and accessible to all ages and abilities, these events offer a safe and uplifting space to express emotions, build resilience, and experience the joy of being fully present.
