This beginning of 2026, we are organizing a new beginners' course based on Fiore dei Liberi's Longsword and rondel dagger.

Historical European Martial Arts (HEMA) is a sport aiming to rediscover martial arts which have disappeared or evolved in time, most often focusing on various forms of unarmored fencing. You will be taught the basics of Armizare, the art of armed combat according to 15th century Italian fencing master Fiore dei Liberi. It is a broad system that includes longsword, wrestling, dagger, spears and pole-axes, as well as fencing on horseback.

Course limited to 10 participants (FULL)
Minimum age to participate is 18 years old.
Class will be held in English.

Where: Tampere Ratinan Stadion, Sali 1.
When: Friday 18:00-20:00, from 23.01 to 13.03 (Armizare);
Cost: 120 euros, paid after the first lesson.
Payment methods: Bank transfer, ePassi or Edenred

Wear normal workout clothes including indoor shoes. Bring a bottle of water. It is a good idea to wear gloves, for example gardening or work gloves. Other necessary equipment including loaner swords and fencing masks will be provided by the club.
