Hallowed Lungs pyhittää sen, mikä ennen haluttiin sulkea pois ja tuo mukanaan toiveen puhtaan ilman hengittämisestä sekä unelman rauhasta. Teos jatkaa esiintyjäkolmikon Pohjonen & Helenius & Norvio yhteistyötä, joka alkoi vuonna 2017 kantaesitetyn Ultra Organ -teoksen parissa.

OPISKELIJALIPUT
Mikäli tapahtuma ei ole loppuunmyyty, keikalle myydään opiskelijalippuja ovelta ennen konsertin alkua hintaan 30 € / kpl. Opiskelijalippuihin vaaditaan opiskelijakortti tai muu opiskelutodistus. Konsertti on ikärajaton. Kouluikäiselle alle 18-vuotiaalle lapselle voi hankkia myös opiskelijalipun ovelta, mikäli konsertti ei ole ennakkoon loppuunmyyty. Alle kouluikäiset pääsevät keikoille maksutta.

Kimmo Pohjonen’s Hallowed Lungs is a work for accordion, organ, and electronics, in which embodied breathing, electric current, and the massive architecture of air engage in dialogue with one another. In the piece, the history of the instruments – the sanctity of the organ and the earthiness of the accordion – does not create conflict but generates tension, giving rise to a new space. Hallowed Lungs sanctifies that which was previously excluded and carries a longing for pure air to breathe, as well as a dream of peace. The work continues the collaboration of the performing trio Pohjonen & Helenius & Norvio, which began with the 2017 premiere of the Ultra Organ.

STUDENT TICKETS
If the event is not sold out, there will be student tickets available at the door for 30 € each (student tickets not sold online) before the show starts. Please show your student card when purchasing student tickets. The concert has no age limit. Children under school age can enter gigs free of charge.
