Life seems easy for picture-perfect couple Ivy (Olivia Colman) and Theo (Benedict Cumberbatch): successful careers, great kids, an enviable sex life. But underneath the façade of the perfect family is a tinderbox of competition and resentment that’s ignited when Ivy’s career takes off and Theo’s professional dreams come crashing down.

Directed by Jay Roach (Meet the Parents, Trumbo, the Austin Powers series) and written by Tony McNamara (The Favourite, Poor Things), this reimagining of the 1989 classic The War of the Roses offers bitter-black laughs and genuine poignancy through a traumatic but relatable experience — the end of a relationship. Also stars Allison Janney, Andy Samberg, Kate McKinnon, Zoë Chao, Sunita Mani and Jamie Demetriou.
