- **Event Name**: Reading Jung: A Study of Selected Writings from the Collected Works

- **Event Description**: Many people drawn to Jung and Analytical Psychology have not read (or read very little) of Jung in the original. This is an opportunity to immerse yourself in several of Jung’s major essays and extracts from the Collected Works.

In a small group setting on select (monthly) Wednesdays at the Library, beginning in August of 2025, an opportunity will be provided for the close study and discussion of 10 significant contributions to Analytical Psychology by the founder himself. Library Education Director, Angelo Spoto, has carefully selected the readings and comments: “These primary sources are all foundational materials and include essays and lengthy extracts from the Collected Works that are not only exceptionally good reading, they are among my personal favorites over the decades.”

2) The Relations between the Ego and the Unconscious, in CW 7 (September 24, 2025)
3) A Study in the Process of Individuation, CW 9i, in CW 9i (October 29, 2025)
4) The Spirit Mercurius, in CW 13 (November 19, 2025)
5) The Stages of Life, in CW 8 (December 10, 2025)
6) Five Factors Determining Human Behavior, in CW 8 (January 21, 2026)
7) The Psychology of the Child Archetype, in 9i (February 25, 2026)
8) Psychology and Religion, in CW 11 (March 25, 2026)
9) After the Catastrophe, in CW 10 (April 22, 2026)
10) Chapter 6 of Mysterium Coniunctionis, in CW 14 (May 27, 2026)

Facilitator:
Angelo Spoto, M.A., LMHC is a licensed mental health counselor with a Master’s degree in Analytical Psychology. He is co-founder of the C.G. Jung Library of Tampa Bay and author of Jung’s Typology in Perspective (Chiron Publications).
