Fil Pate brings his blend of Straight Ahead Jazz to the stage! While playing Electric Guitar, he captures the essence of horns, voices and pianos as he weaves his way through his favorite standards from the great American Song Book, plus many contemporary pieces written by his heroes of Jazz!   Fil has dedicated himself to the study and performance of Jazz in Tampa Bay since 2008 and has been fortunate to study privately with Berklee School of Music Professor Bobby Lee Rodgers, along with taking lessons from local USF Jazz Professors Larue Nickolson and Simon Lasky.  Currently Fil, studies Jazz and Fusion Guitar with Berklee graduate Dani Rabin and continues to make connections daily!

Joining Fil on keys is Julian Pernette.

FIl and Julian have shared the local stage over the past few years within both their own Jazz and Fusion bands, "SanduJazz" and "Friends of Fil" and have performed at The Sunshine Hootenanny Festival in 2024, along with curating several Original, Jazz, and World Music presentations at the Ashley Gibson Barnett Museum of Art in Lakeland, Florida.

This will be a great showcase of Creativity in Jazz and these two interpret their favorite Standards from Vintage to Contemporary.  Piano and Guitar combine to form a unique soundscape that comes from the heart.

The show is free to attend, but we will be accepting donations for the music from those who care to support.
