He began playing guitar professionally at 15, quickly earning recognition from the legendary Paco Cepero, and became known as a versatile and expressive guitarist.José performed at major flamenco festivals with his father, Pansequito del Puerto, and shared the stage with icons such as Camarón de la Isla, Diego el Cigala, Tomatito, and Rancapino. In 1990, he collaborated with Raymundo Amador and Grammy-winner Rosarito Flores on the album Ley, leading to international tours with stars including Azúcar Moreno, Raphael, José Greco, Lola Flores, and Rocío Jurado.A talented composer and producer, José created musical theater works like El Sol de los Gitanos and El Sueño de un Torero, and contributed to Isabel Pantoja’s film Yo Soy Esa.
