Get ready for an experience! We will not only have our Dinner With the Tribe get together, but it will be served with a side of an unusual experience. We have changed our usual times and day to accommodate this. I hope that you will decide that you will join us.
We're going to Wat Mongkolratanaram Thai Temple Sunday Market (try saying that fast). Sunday is the only day they have vendors there. They are open Sundays from 9 – 6 This adventure will start at 9:30. By 11:00, the food will be slim pickings. Prices are reasonable and the food is plentiful.
The food is Thai food made by their vendors. It is vegetarian friendly with vegan and gluten free options. **They do CASH ONLY, no credit cards.** Parking is available, but it can be tight, so get there early.
It’s a beautiful site, anchored by the Palm River. First we should get our food, then we’ll sit down to eat it at picnic benches overlooking the river. It’s calm and peaceful, very enjoyable. We’ll eat our food, then look around and walk to the Thai Temple. At the Thai Temple we’ll have to take off our shoes before we go in. I suggest bringing a pair of socks with you so you don’t have to go barefoot. Shoulders should be covered. We’ll look around at the temple and see what this culture does there. It’s nice to see how others do things differently.
