50th Annual In-Person AHEA Conference

Join us for two days of engaging sessions, networking opportunities, and insightful discussions at the AHEA Conference. We look forward to seeing you there! If you attend the in-person conference, you are automatically registered for the virtual conference on February 25, 2026.

The 50th Annual AHEA conference seeks to explore joy as a radical, transformative, and sustaining force. The conference theme is Joy in the Academy in an Era of Uncertainty. This year's theme is based on the next book in the AHEA book series, When the “rainbow is enuf”: Critical race love letters from Black and Brown women adult higher education educators living in joy, edited by Lisa R. Merriweather, Cathy D. Howell, and Edith Gnanadass. In a time when higher education is marked by precarity, burnout, and systemic inequity, the 50th Annual AHEA conference seeks to explore joy as a radical, transformative, and sustaining force.

We will have presentations that have the potential to invigorate the field and address topics related to adult learners and adult higher education, as well as topics related to the theme.

Cost: USF graduate students and faculty are free; all other graduate students are $165, and all other faculty are $325.00. Remember, when you attend an AHEA conference, you receive a one-year membership to the Alliance. As always, attendees who pay to attend the AHEA in-person conference will receive a copy of the book, and coffee and pastries will be included each morning. Lunch is included at noon on Thursday and Friday
