LD Wanamaker is a self-taught chalk pastel artist based in Kutztown, Pennsylvania. She is recognized for her realistic and thoughtfully detailed portraits. Working primarily in chalk pastels, LD focuses on capturing the character, presence, and subtle emotion of each subject. Guided by a deep appreciation for the natural world, her work blends careful observation with refined technique to create pieces that feel both lifelike and personal.
