Two Icelandic jazz guitarists come together for an intimate evening of swinging melodies and lyrical improvisation.

Andrés Þór — internationally active jazz guitarist and bandleader — joins forces with Bjarni Már Ingólfsson, a rising voice on the Nordic jazz scene currently based in Oslo, where he is completing his Master’s degree in Jazz studies.

Andrés is considered by critics to be one of Iceland’s finest jazz guitarists of his generation. His music combines the eloquence of the classic guitar-led jazz tradition with a zesty, rock-imbued drive, and he has released seven albums under his own name, including the acclaimed trio album Hereby (Losen Records, 2022).

Bjarni has been a visible presence on the Icelandic and Swedish jazz scenes, collaborating with emerging Nordic groups and performing with many prominent Scandinavian jazz artists. He is also an active composer and bandleader, and performs regularly in Estonia with the Suursild & Ingólfsson Duo.

Together they will perform a carefully chosen selection of jazz standards from the Great American Songbook, alongside a few original compositions — music rooted in tradition, shaped by two distinct artistic voices.

Expect warm guitar tones, close musical interaction, and a relaxed atmosphere in one of Tallinn’s coziest venues.
