The Compassionate Friends Worldwide Candle Lighting unites family and friends around the globe in lighting candles for one hour to honor the memories of the sons, daughters, brothers, sisters, and grandchildren who left too soon.
The Compassionate Friends of Tallahassee is holding its Annual Worldwide Candle Lighting on the 2nd Sunday of December.
Families and friends of those who have suffered the loss of a son, daughter, brother, sister or grandchild are invited to attend. This program is free. This is not a religious or holiday event. Attire is casual.

The church is located in the back of Killearn Estates, near the intersection of Shamrock St S and Centerville Rd.
Before the Program: Doors open at 6 pm
The Program Begins: at 6:45 pm
It includes music, readings, a keynote by Candace McKibben with Big Bend Hospice, and a slideshow in remembrance of our children, siblings and grandchildren.
At 7 pm in every time zone around the world, candles are lighted and provide a virtual band of light circling the globe in remembrance of all children gone too soon. Everyone in attendance will have the opportunity to raise a candle in remembrance when their loved one’s name is read.
After the program, we will share fellowship and refreshments. The chapter will provide plates, napkins, utensils, coffee and water.
