Southern Shakespeare Company is holding auditions for our fall touring production of William Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet, performing November 5–15, 2026 at schools throughout the region and in two special community performances at Goodwood Museum & Gardens and Monticello Opera House.

This fast-paced, five-actor adaptation puts the youthful energy, romance, humor, and excitement of Shakespeare’s most famous love story front and center, with a small ensemble bringing the many residents of Verona to life.

Audition Instructions
Please come prepared to audition with a one-minute monologue. A Shakespeare piece is not required, but is preferred. No monologue? That’s OK! Please come to the auditions and let us work with you. 

Can’t attend in person? Video auditions will be accepted through September 26. Please email your video audition to Stephen@SouthernShakes.org.
