Every winter for the past 20 years, hundreds of passionate climate activists have dashed into icy cold waters for a winter swim to raise funds in support of the work of the Chesapeake Climate Action Network (CCAN). Just like a charity fun run, Plunge participants accept donations from their friends and family to support our vital climate work!

Due to the wastewater overflow into the Potomac River in January, we will not be going into the frigid waters of the river. Instead Plungers will participate in the Winter Water Games, a series of cold water activities on the banks of the river at National Harbor.
