Meet at the toilet block on The Strand in Takapuna ready to swim at 7am. You will be asked to sign in on our white board for health and safety. We also request that once per season you fill out our brief online emergency contact form.

You will need goggles and a Twisted Sisters Club swim cap, so you are visible to others in the water. Caps are available to purchase through our club store and can be collected on the day. Please note these are now mandatory. If you cannot use one for whatever reason, please discuss this with us prior to the swim.

A tow float is also recommended but not mandatory.

The main group swims the yellow buoy line. This is anywhere from 1000m to 3km depending on ability. They regroup at each buoy.
The beginners group stay with our coach near the shore. We go out as far as people are confident with, sighting, technique and any questions you might have. This is a slower swim and we stop a bit more often. 500m to 1500m on average.
