Meet at the toilet block on The Strand in Takapuna ready to swim at 7am. You will be asked to sign in on our white board for health and safety. We also request that once per season you fill out our brief online emergency contact form.

You will need goggles and a Twisted Sisters Club swim cap, so you are visible to others in the water. Caps are available to purchase through our club store and can be collected on the day. Please note these are now mandatory. If you cannot use one for whatever reason, please discuss this with us prior to the swim.

A tow float is also recommended but not mandatory.

This week we have a special beginners group perfect for anyone signed up for the SHE tri. This group will stay near the shore to work on technique and being comfortable in the water. 

The main group swims the yellow buoy line. This is anywhere from 1000m to 3km depending on ability. They regroup at each buoy.
The intermediate group stay with one of our more experienced swimmers. They go as far out as they are comfortable. This is a slower swim and we stop a bit more often. 500m to 1500m on average.
