Together, we’ll explore metaphor as a powerful, poetic tool for performance - expanding how we communicate on stage beyond words alone. Through guided exercises, you’ll learn how to build vivid metaphors using sensory imagery, presence, and simplicity, and how silence can become just as expressive as dialogue.

The workshop is designed for performers with some stage or improv experience who want to deepen their theatrical language and explore a more intuitive, imaginative style of improvisation.

Three participants from the workshop will be selected to perform in a public show the following evening, where scenes are created live from metaphors inspired by the audience.
 

ABOUT ANDREA FERPO (Director and Coach)
Multidisciplinary artist – actress in theater, film, and advertising. 

Teacher of theatrical improvisation specializing in "Sensory Improv," a creative and pedagogical method she has been researching for seven years and has shared in various cities in Peru, Argentina, Chile, Bolivia, New Zealand, and Australia. 

Andrea is also a Psychodrama Therapist, having graduated in Buenos Aires, Argentina. She is a professional photographer and vegan chef. She runs Marandí arte escénico, a multidisciplinary Improv Theater School in Lima, Perú.

ABOUT MARANDÍ: 
Founded in 2019, the school initially produced the second theatrical tour in Peru of the Argentine mask master Marcelo Savignone. Later, the school adopted a working methodology based on Sensory Improvisation - a method researched by its director, Andrea Ferpo.

This methodology comprises six levels of study, thus developing a comprehensive training program in Theatrical Improvisation from a sensory perspective. The school also operates as an artistic production company, organizing stage projects in Latin America and Oceania.
