Get your whānau together for an awesome concert of movie music with Auckland’s orchestra. Tickets are just $10 and kids go free!

New Zealand actor Kevin Keys will guide you through the concert, bringing an extra level of insight to the music and movies.

Celebrate cinema as the orchestra plays extracts from memorable movie soundtracks, including The Piano, The King’s Speech and Lord of the Rings. Plus, a special orchestral arrangement of the Finale Medley from the film TINĀ. Composed by Igelese Ete and arranged by Thomas Goss, this moving work brings together the full force of the orchestra with Auckland Gospel Choir and guitarist Posenai Mavaega (featured in the original soundtrack!).

Emerging young Kiwi artists take centre stage, with Haydn Staples Piano Scholar Dylan Tang performing a solo from The Piano and rising star pianist David Li performing a beautiful excerpt of Tchaikovsky's Piano Concerto No. 1.

This event will also feature a pre-concert performance in the venue foyer from North Shore Youth Music at 2.15pm!
