成軍約莫於 2014 年的南倫敦，透過獨立音樂圈內 Goat Girl、Dead Pretties 和 HMLTD 團員共同朋友牽線，進而聚首成團為 shame——主唱 Charlie Steen、吉他手 Sean Coyle-Smith 與 Eddie Green、貝斯手 Josh Finerty及鼓手 Charlie Forbes 。
