- **Event Description**: Next Saturday’s “Bitchboy Goes Wild” run will be a DEI (Definitely Everything Included) event. There are roads, streets, cement farmer treks through orchards, overgrown farmer treks hacked through seven-foot-tall grass zig-zagging down a mountainside, stairs leading up to an idyllic path through a small forest, a passage curved out a stretch of seven-foot-tall grass, barely visible dog paths that have been formed through shorter vegetation, and just plain backwoods with no apparent trail that require markings every few meters. There are creeks, streams, and small rivers, some dry, some wet (your feet will get wet, so a car will be at the start for dry shoes to be stored). We’ve got blooming mango and “dragon eye” trees, huge wild taro leaves and skinny cacti that make dragon fruit, banana trees and bamboo, ferns, vines, and seven-foot-tall grass. (Already mentioned that, didn’t I? I might want to have my hash name changed to Machete. I got blisters on my fingers!) Anyway, at different places, a runner will be able to pace themselves at a fast clip, while at others, walkers can pause and enjoy the scenery, and at still others, everybody is going to be sitting on their butts going down an incline. (I already mentioned a car at the start, for your change of clothes.) There are lizards, bugs, chained-up dogs, spiders (Don’t remind the virgin hare!), and, if you’re lucky, a monkey or two. And there will be beer, soft drinks, and an assortment of snacks.
You will need to go to XINYING Station. XINYING is in Tainan City. There is a limited express coming from the north that is scheduled to arrive at 12:09 in XINYING. (That’s the third time I wrote Xinying in CAPS. I'm beginning to see how the orange baboon enjoys it. If you get off at Chiayi, you will be severely penalized at the next down-downs you show up at.) The start is a good 20 minutes away, and the hares would like to be on their way by 1:00. The hares will meet you at XINYING Station.
The start is a temple up atop a mountain with a fantastic view.
