Although it is only a moderate eight miles in length, various sections of the route involve walking up and down hills and some of the slopes are steep. Walking poles may be advisable. Generally, this is an enjoyable country ramble where stretches of woodland are mixed with more open countryside with landscape views. There is one particularly demanding uphill ascent from near the Whitehill car park with wooden retainer steps. There are a few muddy sections, though more notably, sections of chalk path underfoot are liable to be slippery.Length - 8.0 miles / 13 kmAscent - 1000 feet / 303 metersGrade - moderate/hardMeet-up time - 8:15 am ( opportunity to get a coffee, use the toilet and mingle )Please aim to be early not in time, thank you ? we will not be able to wait longer than 15 min. The age range on our treks is from 4 months to 73 years old - we are committed to bringing communities together, creating new socializing norms, and new quality "family time" to have individuals experience new adventures, enjoy nature, and connect with like-minded leaders. All fitness levels are welcome, especially if you have never done a trek before - we would love to meet you and have you discover your limitless Self!
