Box Hill Winter Hike – Hosted by M!NDFrames

Let’s be honest - life’s been lifing. Between work deadlines, “outside” being expensive, and trying to keep your plants (and sanity) alive, sometimes you just need to unplug and touch some actual grass.

We’re back by popular demand - and this time, winter is coming (Jon Snow voice). But instead of whimpering in the cold, we’re turning it into a whole motive with our Box Hill Winter Hike.

After the success of our last hike, we’re levelling up! New location, New views, Same good energy. Think: panoramic landscapes, deep chats, laughter echoing through the hills, and a few “how is this hill still going?” moments that’ll make that post-hike pub drink taste like victory.

We’ll be exploring Surrey’s legendary Box Hill, an eight-mile circular trail filled with steep climbs, dreamy viewpoints, and valleys that look straight out of Games of Thrones.

Whether you’re coming solo or rolling deep, this isn’t just a hike - it’s a vibe, a reset, and a reminder that mental wealth looks good on you.

Date: Saturday, November 29th, 2025

Time: 11:00 AM – 4:00–5:00 PM (approx.)

Location: Box Hill, Surrey

Free – RSVP Required (Donations welcome)

📍Meeting Point

We’ll meet at the Box Hill Main Car Park (Located on Zig Zag Road, KT20 7LB.) Look out for the M!NDFrames team. We’ll have signs, smiles, and maybe even a few snacks.

🚗 Travelling by Car?

• Parking is available at Box Hill Main Car Park (National Trust)
• Parking fees apply, so bring a card or download the PayByPhone app beforehand (Pricing: £2 for up to 1 hour, £4 for up to 2 hours, £6 for up to 4 hours, and £9 for all day.)
• Capacity: 200 spaces
• Carpooling is encouraged - it’s kinder to the planet and your wallet

🚆 Travelling by Train?

• The nearest train station is Box Hill & Westhumble Station
• From there, it’s around a 20-30 minute walk to the car park (follow signs for Box Hill)
• Regular trains run from London Victoria and London Waterloo to Dorking, then it’s a short hop to Box Hill

🚶🏽‍♀️ What to expect?

• A moderate-to-challenging 8-mile hike (approx. 4–6 hours depending on pace)
• Steep sections and steps - take your time, we’re in no rush
• Guided moments for mindfulness and reflection
• Great company, laughter, and maybe a few “accidental” photo breaks
• Optional stop at a local pub afterwards for drinks or food

🎒 What to Bring

• Comfortable hiking boots or sturdy trainers
• Warm, layered clothing (it’s very British out there)
• Waterproof jacket, just in case
• Snacks, water, and good energy
• A camera, polaroid, or phone, speakers and a brilliant playlist
• An open mind and willingness to connect
