Trees and art root us in place and in the season. As we conclude one more seasonal cycle, we invite you to join David Lasky, Sarah Low, and Northwest Sinfonietta to wander through Wright Park and find inspiration for creating your own visual poem. During our time together, we will walk among the trees and consider the many creatures and elements that they are in relation with: air, birds, fungi, minerals, soil, and rain. Then, we will gather at the Wright Park classroom to write and draw together with David Lasky’s guidance.
We are so excited to be partnering with Northwest Sinfonietta once again! The focus of this workshop is inspired by their March 14 and 15 concert, Sky and Stone.
You can bring your own art supplies but we will be providing paper, and writing and drawing tools.
Please dress according to the wintery weather. A portion of the program will take place outside, so bring raingear in case rain is in the forecast. The rest of the program will take place indoors, so bring layers and cozy clothes!
Tea and light snacks will be provided.
