Between Languages and Cultures

During Multicultural Week, Vága Municipality will host an event that shines a light on the Faroe Islands as a multicultural society.
The event will take place at the library in Skúlin á Giljanesi on Thursday, 30 October at 19:00.

The programme features informal sofa conversations with newcomers, where we will hear stories about, among other things, war, love, careers, conflicts, and identity.
Lena and Niclas will perform a few songs, and Lena, who has lived abroad for much of her life, will also take a seat on the sofa for a conversation.

Naturally, there will also be coffee and refreshments served.

An interesting and diverse evening can be expected, with engaging stories told in various languages.
The main languages of the evening will be Faroese and English, and interpretation will be available if needed.
Petra Olsen will guide us through the evening.
