Instructor: Featherweight Sarah
Location: Bloom Haven
Join this half-day refresher for pampering your vintage Singer 221 Featherweight sewing machine. Provide your machine with the zen and relaxation she deserves! 🧘♀️🧵
In this hands-on class, you’ll give your Featherweight some serious TLC as you deep clean the gears, shafts, and even the motor, followed by proper oiling and lubrication. Be prepared to get your hands dirty as you scrub away lint, fuzz, and old oil — your machine will thank you!
You’ll also learn:
• How to polish chrome pieces
• How to care for compromised clear coat and japanned black finish
• Tips for addressing chipped paint
Cleaning agents for gears and motor, along with lubricating oil, will be provided for all attendees.
This class is best suited for those already familiar with basic oiling and general machine maintenance. If you’re looking for a more in-depth experience, Sarah’s Featherweight Maintenance Retreat is the perfect next step.
