Throughout history, African American quilts have served as living records of family stories, community experiences, resilience, and hope. In that spirit, community members are invited to contribute to a collective quilt by either bringing a meaningful piece of fabric from home (PLEASE NOTE THE FABRIC PIECE MUST BY 4.75x4.75 INCHES) or creating a design on a fabric square provided at the event. Each contribution will represent a unique story, memory, or reflection. Our project partner, Baldwin's Dream, will assemble the individual pieces into a single community quilt, weaving together the voices and experiences of all who participate.
