Build skills in using digital SLR cameras, experimenting with ISO, aperture, shutterspeed, framing and macro photography as you explore the island. In teh afternoon, return to the museum to explore photography in the collection and pepare for your own exhibition. Your best photos will be exhibited in a special exhibition at the museum after the workshop.This course is held in partnership with the Sydney Harbour Federation Trust and Spitting Image Photography.Suitable to all levels of experienceGeneral InfoAges: 8-14Time: 10am - 4.30pmPlease arrive to the registration desk in the museum foyer 5-10 mins prior to the program.Parents/carers will be required to sign permission forms for this program.Participants are fully supervised for this program.Participants should bring their own lunch/snacks, and wear suitable clothing, sturdy shoes and sun protection for any time spent outdoors.All workshop materials( including cameras) and transport to and from Cockatoo Island are supplied.No printed tickets are necessary, we will check in via guestlist.FAQsWhere does the course depart from/ return to?We depart from and return to the museum foyer.What else does the workshop include?This workshop includes our ferry trip to Cockatoo island return and about 4 hours on the island exploring the amazing historic spaces there. When we get back to the museum in the afternoon we visit the museum exhibitions including Wildlife Photographer for inspiration while we plan for our showcase exhibition of best photos of the day.Can I bring my own SLR camera?All camera equipment is provided for this workshop so you actually don't need to own or bring anything, and we would encourage you to use the equipment we have on hand.
