The annual seminar is an opportunity for pilots, medical practitioners, airline staff and management, together with unions and other aviation advocates to come together for the purpose of sharing and developing learning about the multifaceted issues of pilot health, wellbeing, and safety in the context of addictions.
Speakers often include notable aviation regulators, dignitaries, officials, in addition to addiction specialists, airline doctors, and pilots who have journeyed with addictions.
This year's theme is "Training for Trust" in reflection of the fact that for the first time the HAAG annual seminar is being held contiguously with the Annual ASAM Conference, allowing more DAMEs and aviation-interested GPs to join the seminar and learn about how to create a safe harbour for pilots who seek medical recertification to fly from CASA in Australia, when facing an addiction diagnosis. A more detailed printed Agenda will be provided on the day, and published here when finalised. Similarly details of the ncluding the HAAG Dinner will be provided here when settled. Dinner Sponsorship is available.
