Room 708, Level 7, Jane Foss Russell Building, 156 City Road,, Sydney, Australia
The Department of Chinese Studies and the China Studies Centre at the University of Sydney invite applications for the Sydney Chinese Studies Postgraduate Seminar. Postgraduate students at any university with a Chinese Studies-related project are eligible, and applications from students across the city and region, including visiting students or exchange students, are encouraged. The seminar is planned as in person event.
The seminar is free of charge and will consist of 10 minute student presentations followed by critical comments and suggestions from a panel of discussants. The program will run approximately between 9:30AM – 1:30PM, but will be finalised once applications are reviewed. Program will be provided closer to the event date.
This twice-yearly seminar has been established to give postgraduate students the opportunity to present their research in a collegial environment and receive constructive, expert feedback. Students are welcome to use this opportunity to refine papers that will be presented at upcoming conferences, receiving feedback from local and international Chinese Studies experts in a range of disciplines.
How to apply
If you are interested to attend the event as a student presenter or audience member, please register by Sunday 19 May. Registration is essential as places are limited.
