Tassels-Flochburg is a sleepy town situated on the Great and Small Islands, two almost twin parts of Pontar Isle. Although the waters of the Odd River clearly delineate the boundary between nations, it has never mattered much to the people living here. Why should it? The local blacksmith shoes both Redanian and Temerian horses with equal care, and the tavern maid smiles at every customer alike, as long as his purse isn’t empty.

But is it truly so?

Looking deeper beneath the roofs, one can see that the reality is quite different. In truth, behind the facade of mutual aid and cooperation, shameful divisions lurk, fueling friction and competition for influence.

Now, as they do every year at this time, the residents are preparing for the Harvest Festival Fair. It provides an excellent opportunity not only to meet travelers from the Continent, newcomers from its farthest borders, rekindle old acquaintances, or make new connections, but also to establish who truly rules this isolated community.

It is in this very place that our story begins.

Whirls of Pontar is a game that transports you into the world of The Witcher, set in the universe known from The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. During the game, you can take on the role of a town resident, merchant, a stranger from distant lands, a juggler, or a city guard. You can sit in a tavern where the White Wolf himself supposedly dined, listen to bards perform the works of the famous Dandelion, or throw yourself into the whirlwind of events.
The game will feature “intensity zones” that allow you to explore this world as you wish. You can decide whether to spend your time in the warmth, playing dice and reveling to the sound of a lute in the safe part of the settlement, or venture beyond its boundary, leave the safe haven, and head into the darkness, where unknown forces clash to achieve their goals. Stepping out of the Red Griffin Inn, passing the low buildings with chicken coops, their windows casting flickering patches of light onto the uneven road, remember that the trail after dusk can be treacherous, and you never know if human or non-human eyes are watching your steps. For the Witcher’s world doesn’t only smell of delicious stew with millet and resound with bard music, but is also full of wickedness, intrigue, and deadly dangers.

If you’re a fan of The Witcher series about Geralt, if you’re fascinated by Slavic mythology, or if you enjoy immersive games filled with weighty, consequential choices, then this game is for you. Step away from the computer screen, leave behind the safe position of a spectator, and venture into the unknown to become part of this world.
