- **Event Description**: A new venture for the folk club, we’ll be running a series of intimate gigs at The Pulpit, Devizes Road, Swindon. 

Phil Gilvin is a singer, guitarist and published author with warmth, skill and heart. He performs a range of songs that will sometimes make you laugh, sometimes might bring a tear, and sometimes make you think about the injustice in the world. 

Half of One are Geoff Roberts (fiddle) and Neil Mercer (guitar) who have played together in folk troubadours Sgo and dance band Cowshed Ceilidh Collective for many years, as well as spending many beer fueled hours musically sparring at folk sessions. In 2024 they started to put together a set of tunes and songs from a wide variety of sources including Sam Sweeney, Dave Swarbrick and Ric Sanders.
