- **Event Description**: Rosca Horsemanship is back for another exciting weekend horsemanship camp at CHAPS Collingham Horse Adventure Park in Nottinghamshire from Saturday 8th August 2024. - Sunday 9th August 2026.

This weekend will provide you with a relaxed and supportive environment for you to progress your horsemanship, enhance your connection and promote more effective communication with the support and guidance from Ross Cooper of Rosca Horsemanship, whilst meeting like-minded horsefolk on the same pathway.

Ross will aid you in improving your own skill as a horseperson between you and your horse, both on the ground and from the saddle, as we navigate the exciting framework this weekend has to offer, including new and challenging obstacles that the adventure park has to offer, providing opportunities to develop your feel and to strengthen your relationship.

The weekend framework will

Saturday: 
Saturday will consist of an introduction to the course primarily focusing working on the ground, establishing confidence, communication and assessing the building blocks to be able to manoeuvre around the obstacles found on the course.

We will break around mid-day for lunch on each day to rest and recharge before the afternoon, and head out for a group meal on the Saturday evening (not included in the clinic fee)

Sunday:
Sunday will be a natural progression from Saturday, however that may look for  each individual, where we will progress ground-skills or riding under saddle, again, working to improve effective communication, body control and manoeuvrability with what the course presents; riding will always be optional, it is not a necessity.

There will be ample opportunity through the day for Ross to offer support, advice and demonstrations on the ground and from the saddle with your horse, as and when the opportunity arises.

Please arrive for 9.30am on Saturday 8th August to give your horse time to settle in to the surroundings and set-up camp before we start the weekend.

Please do bring extra hay nets for your horses lunchtime break.

Participant Investment: £230
(inclusive of two day CHAPS entry fee, rosette, individual paddock hire for turn-out over the weekend and overnight camping costs for the Saturday night ONLY. Should you wish to arrive on the Friday evening to camp, this will incur an extra fee.)

Excellent and spacious horse lorry and camping field, with toilets, shower block and running water on site.

Please provide your own camping equipment, food for your weekend stay and hay/feed/bucket your horse may need.

Please note there are no electric hook-ups in the camping field.

A disclaimer will need to be signed by each participant for entry to the park which will be included with the information and email.
