Swancreek Township is honored to partner with the Swanton American Legion for Wreaths Across America Day on Saturday, December 13, 2025. The ceremony will be held at Swanton Cemetery on South Main Street at noon to remember and honor the service and sacrifice of our nation’s veterans.

Wreaths may be sponsored for $17 each in honor of a veteran. Sponsors may also choose to have their wreath placed at a different cemetery by contacting Commander John Schmidt at swantonlegion@spectrum.net
 or 419-345-4600.

The American Legion will place wreaths at the following locations:
Swanton Cemetery (S. Main St.)
East Swanton Cemetery (Scott Rd.) (Swanton Township)
St. Richard’s Cemetery (Dodge St.)

Volunteers are invited to gather at American Legion Post #47, 200 S. Hallett Ave., beginning at 9:30 a.m. for light refreshments before heading out to the cemeteries. You may join the ceremony at Swanton Cemetery or proceed directly to the location of your choice—volunteers will be present at each site to coordinate placement.

The deadline to sponsor a wreath is November 26, 2025.
