This is about recognising the strength of your voice and using it with clarity and purpose.OverviewThis event offers a taster of what "finding your voice" could mean personally and professionally. Each session builds on the last to provide a comprehensive toolkit for effective communication.Session 1: Personality StylesUnderstanding how to navigate relationships.What makes people tick? Exploring behaviours.Awareness of self and of others.Session 2: Communication StylesTechniques on how to respond and react (or not) to others' behaviours.Keeping the focus on the issue or matter at hand.The art of negotiation and managing expectations.Practical strategies such as asking for more than you want to reach fair compromises.Session 3: The Power of PersuasionSpeaking up and speaking out effectively.Persuading others that your requests are reasonable.The importance of research, data, and strategy.Lunch & NetworkingDuring the day you will have an opportunity to connect with peers and speak with union representatives about the training offered via District / Branch, WULF and other organisations.Please NoteAs this is an in-person event with lunch and refreshments provided, places are limited.
