To walk beside someone at the end of life is one of the most sacred roles a person can hold.

Sacred Passage: Supporting the End-of-Life Journey is a spiritually grounded, educational certification program created for those who feel called to offer compassionate presence, spiritual care, and calm support during life’s final transition. This series gently prepares participants to understand the natural end-of-life process while cultivating the awareness, confidence, and heart-centered skills needed to support both individuals and their loved ones with dignity and care.

Rooted in interfaith wisdom, this program draws from the trusted teachings of the Approaching Death Support Kit by hospice nurse and educator Barbara Karnes, paired with Rev. Deidre Gillespie’s experience as an interfaith minister and certified death doula. Together, these teachings offer clarity, reassurance, and practical understanding for navigating the emotional, spiritual, and energetic aspects of the dying process.

Participants gain insight into what is natural and expected as life draws to a close, learning how to remain present, grounded, and compassionate while offering meaningful support. This program is not medical training, but rather a preparation of the heart, awareness, and spirit for those who serve others professionally or personally at the end of life.

All spiritual paths are welcome.
No prior experience is required.
