HEADS UP! We've booked a sauna for the end of the hike - so, I'll be keeping all on their toes and we'll get back to Gower Heritage Centre for 2.30 pm. It's a wood-fired sauna with a cold plunge pool and natural cooling in the river. Bring a towel for drying, a towel for sitting on and flip flops for wandering into the river, if you so choose. This is an expensive addition to the day, and so any contributions to the costs would be appreciated on the day.
Meeting at the wonderful Gower Heritage Centre we will have a guided hike that takes in ancient burial sites, caves, castles and of course some amazing Gower beaches!
Parking is £5 per vehicle and we can arrange a tour of the heritage centre, well worth it as there is much here that tells the story of life on the Gower, for an additional £5 pp.
We have made this hike shorter than usual, as this is a post-festive season day that aims to get us back into walking but more so, there is so much of interest to see and explore that we wanted to leave space in the day to do so :)
For the route, see the photos for this event when purchasing a ticket.
