Join locals and experts to learn how greenways can reduce flooding, connect and grow our community, and preserve a natural legacy.

About this Event

Please join Thrive Asheville, and our partners Connect Buncombe, Swannanoa Grassroots Alliance and Friends and Neighbors of Swannanoa to learn about the potential of a greenway in Swannanoa to make our community safer, more connected and resilient.

There will be three sessions - join us for one or all three.

Reading the River - What does emergeing data tell us about flood risk near the Swannanoa?

How Greenways Build Community - Learn from other communities about how greenways have supported economic development and environmental preservation.

Connecting Communities - Learn about the Fonta Flora Trail and the potential for extension along the Swannanoa.
