Follow the path of General William T. Sherman's famous March to the Sea as it wound through Emanuel, Jenkins, and Burke Counties.
Travel along preserved historic roads once used by Union and Confederate troops, visit authentic campsites and beautiful Antebellum plantation sites, and explore the legendary Camp Lawton at Magnolia Springs State Park. Dr. Derden, author of The World's Largest Prison: The Story of Camp Lawton, will bring history to life through captivating stories, local legends, and an illustrated talk about the remarkable archaeological discoveries that continue to reshape our understanding of this era.
