From the nature reserve, we will walk to the left to visit a series of wood carvings and then join the riverside walk, eventually turning left to head for the green steps over the railway. Once over we will turn left and follow the path, parallel to the railway line, into the housing estate walking straight ahead, past The Gate (pub), and following the path to court farm road and under the A38 into Branston Water Park (lunch stop 30 mins & cafe & toilets).
We continue the walk towards the canal and exit the canal just before Barton Gate, going up the ramp and over the A38. Cross the road at the slip road (taking care), and make our way back to Tucklesholme.
Expect: a simple walk on good paths, field, nature reserve, riverside, canalside, two sets of steps, toilets and cafe en route.
