About the event

Bat Walk at Moira Furnace
A walk along the canal and through the furnace plantation. Please email YmF0ZXZlbnRzIHwgb3V0bG9vayAhIGNvbQ== to book. Details will be supplied nearer the date. Leader Peter Proudlove.

Walks are free to bat group members and £3 for others.

As with all evening events, even in the summer, the weather can be cool after sunset. Wear warm clothes and bring a torch. The walks may be over uneven/wet ground so please wear appropriate footwear. If the weather looks ‘iffy’ it is worth checking your emails before you set off in case of cancellation. If it is raining heavily or windy the event is unlikely to go ahead. Some bat detectors will be available but if you have your own, please bring it.
