Come walk, and learn about these seasonal items as well as plants, trees, and mushrooms that can be foraged at other times of the year. I will teach you how to identify the edibles safely, methods of preparation and preservation, nutritional and medicinal value. Bring a camera and/or notebook so you can document our finds, collection bags (plastic), garden gloves and a knife or shears. For ages 6 to Adult- ages 6-12 are $15 at the door with ticket-holding Adult (Ages 13&up). Wear comfortable walking shoes or boots as the terrain may be uneven or muddy. We will go off the trail be prepared for mud, rocks, steep areas. Insect repellant and sunscreen recommended. DIRECTIONS: do not put "Shaw Farm" in your GPS- it may take you to Central Tpke trailhead and that is the wrong trailhead. Instead, please put, "10 Shaw Lane, Sutton, MA" in your GPS, the farm is at the end of Shaw Ln. in Sutton. When you get to the end of the road, please park behind the little stable, that grassy field has plenty of room for cars, thanks!
