Concealed Weapons Class - January 20th 2026
Sheriff Carlos Turner is happy to announce the Surry County Sheriff’s Office will hold a firearm safety / concealed weapons class, on January 20th 2026. from 6:15 pm to 8:30 pm at the Mount Nebo Baptist Church, 5738 Colonial Trail E, Surry, VA 23883.
To enroll you must contact the Sheriff’s Office at 757-294-5310 between the hours of 8AM - 4PM.
*** The class will be limited for safety reasons ***
This class will provide you with all the information needed to obtain your concealed weapons permit. The class is limited to the first 30 people with a preference given to Surry County residents.
Donations: A donation of $10 to go towards our Project Lifesaver Program would be much appreciated. (Check or Money Order)
Also, bring your identification with you to class.
~~No Guns, No Ammo Allowed in Class For Safety Reasons~~
If you wish not to follow these guidelines and critical safety requirements you are welcome not to sign up for the class.
